Hello everyone! I went to my surgeons checkup appointment today and I was given paper work for a company called Nascobal They are a bariatric pharmaceutical company that ships monthly vitamins to your home you get : vitamin b-12 nasal spray prescription strength, Multivitamin, Iron+ Vitamin C, and Calcium+ D3 with Magnesium. They will bill my insurance and I pay a co-pay of 20 dollars a month. I'm just wondering if anyone else has used this service, or knows anything about these specific bariatric vitamins? I know they are all chewable. My surgeon thinks it's a great program to get the right vitamins that He feels I need to have and of course you can't beat 20 bucks a month for all of it. @@mykdzmom Yes my surgeon had the forms and sent over the prescription, the b-12 is a prescription strength if I understood right.

I'm getting it. The fee is reasonable and the vitamins don't taste horrible like the bariatric advantage ones I have do. So why not. Usually vitamins upset my stomach. These don't seem to yet

I did this program right after surgery-my doctor's office handed out the flyers in the pre-surgery meeting. I didn't want to have to worry about not having what I needed right after surgery. The service was really great. However, the Vitamins were the only thing that made me sick while recovering --- definitely ME not the vitamins. I can't do the chewable ones. Too much like Sweet Tarts (which I never liked) I guess. Eventually I cancelled the service & switched the spray to the pharmacy. I would definitely recommend though. I was slow to cancel so I know I have unopened bottles that I'll have to offer up here when I get a chance.

So I told you I would ask about this at my appt., and I did. She said that less than 10 percent of insurance companies have a supplement program, and to call mine to see if they do, she will call in a prescription with whatever I take. I need to do that today. My Ins. is such a poop (no other way to say it!!!) I will be surprised if they do it. Hope I'm wrong!
