  2. I had my surgery two months ago and I agree, the hysterectomy was much easier than the sleeve. My only concern is the 8lbs I gained but I'm clear for exercise so it's on.

  4. Bumping to see if anyone can answer a few questions...
  5. I was sleeved 3/16/15 and life has been great so far. I'm about 40lbs from goal and couldn't be happier. I am scheduled for a laparoscopic hysterectomy in a few weeks and I'm trying to research and prepare. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone who has had sleeve then hysterectomy. Many have had the reverse. I'm looking for personal experience as life after sleeve is slightly different. Recovery, appetite, energy levels, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

  13. Right. I never eat iceburg. I try to use the most nutrient rich greens I can find. I don't use much as I'm focused on protein but I've been adding a bit every other day. That little bit of fiber is making a difference! @@BLERDgirl that dressing sounds awesome!

  15. My NUT said salad was fine once I moved to solids at 4 weeks. I've had it a few times with no issues but of course stick to what your team recommends.

  17. Thursday is my day. I want sushi! Just 1 piece of a no rice roll! Can't wait! Lol
  18. Hope everyone is doing well. Sleeved 3/16 and down about 30lbs. The first places I've lost are in my face and boobs. I'm down from a 22 and into a 20 pushing an 18 already so I guess I've lost inches. I had to stop weighing daily so no measurements or scale until Monday. I actually spoke with a plastic surgeon Tuesday unintentionally. Friend is having a tummy tuck by the doc most recommended for bariatruc patients. He wants me to come in asap so he can start documenting my progress. He said he gets 70% of his post bariatric procedures covered by insurance! He also said it will allow him to see how I'm losing which will lead to better outcomes. Crazy, huh?

  21. I don't think the little watermelon juice will have any lasting harm. Just don't do it again. Each doc has different guidelines so get back to your doc's requirements and you'll be fine. @@PJO your program seems very restrictive. I'm right at 4 weeks and will be adding juice and fruit in a few days. I've had carbs (very tiny amounts) and I'm still losing.
  22. Your own insurance is always primary for you. Your husband's would be secondary for you, primary for him.
  23. I've had a script for anxiety meds for years. I take them maybe twice a year. There are many different meds depending on your type of anxiety that can help in conjunction with therapies. My problem is mostly with one scenario and unfortunately not one I can write or crochet away. But there are other methods. Get a good therapist and work with them on coping activities like @@CanyonBaby said. Ask you doc about other medications. Good luck!
  24. Wow. What surgery did you have?
