Bariatric Vitamin home delivery good? Or No?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I went to my surgeons checkup appointment today and I was given paper work for a company called Nascobal They are a bariatric pharmaceutical company that ships monthly Vitamins to your home you get : Vitamin b-12 nasal spray prescription strength, Multivitamin, Iron+ Vitamin C, and Calcium+ D3 with Magnesium. They will bill my insurance and I pay a co-pay of 20 dollars a month. I'm just wondering if anyone else has used this service, or knows anything about these specific bariatric vitamins? I know they are all chewable. My surgeon thinks it's a great program to get the right vitamins that He feels I need to have and of course you can't beat 20 bucks a month for all of it. Thank you in advance! I hope everyone is doing well :)

I see my NUT on the 16th, so I will ask her about it. That would be an awesome thing, please let us know what you think of the program and the Vitamins, if you don't mind. Thanks!

My NUT actually gave me this! I was going to do it but I no longer have any insurance. It would have cost me $25!

@@fit4life123 That's good to hear! Not the insurance part but that other people have been told about it. They did say co pay will depend on what insurance you have.

I know I personally spend more than that on my Vitamin regimen a month so I don't mind paying a co-pay I just wonder how good the actual Vitamins are. And I've never used a nose spray for my vit B-12.

I actually was given this same thing my my NUT. The greatest part is the nasal b-12 because it's only once a week and apparently is absorbed better than when taken in sublingual form. It's also so nice not to have to think about it, they will just send it to you and that way you never run out. I will say that I did not like the multivitamin and continue to take Flinstones but I think the $20 is worth it just for the B12.

Update: I called this morning and my insurance approves it! My co-pay is actually 25 dollars but still great! @@sunflowerchild I didn't do the monthly shipment plan. I want to try them out for the first month first to see if I like them :)

Here's a number if anyone else is interested in calling to see if your insurance covers it. I have BCBS FEd

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
