Six Weeks Post Op...And All Okay!

Recommended Posts

It's been six weeks since my lap band surgery and I have to tell you so far I am extremely happy of how it is helping me lose my weight.

I underlined that because I see alot of people who are somewhat disheartened with their outcome so far. The band will not work miracles for you. Its a 50/50 plan that you have to work with as well.

You can do it and you can make this happen for you.

So far in the past 6 weeks I am proud to say that 51 pounds are gone that I will never see back again. Sayonara, Good Riddence and dont let the door hit you in the #$%.

Best of Luck to all

Well done! You are rocking the band!

I agree with you completely - there are bandsters our there who are desperate to lose the weight, yet they haven't modified their eating habits, the quality of food consumed or the speed at which they consume it. No wonder they progress is slow, or stalled.

I've found myself stalling here and there (damn you, cabernet sauvignon addiction!), and when I do, I remind myself of the 8 golden rules by watching the videos again. Never fails to kick start my weight loss again by reminding me of the importance of keeping up MY end of the "banding bargain".

Congrats on your loss! AMAZING!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
