Just curious what people eat post op to help get their Protein in. My surgeon said no pork or beef for 6 months. Does anyone use turkey bacon, turkey sausage or turkey pepperoni?

deli turkey wrapped in soft cheese...sometimes nuked or heated in a pan so the cheese is melted

i add Protein powder to Soups

i made buffalo chicken dip...canned/shredded chicken, light cream cheese, some cheddar cheese and hot sauce

i made taco meat...i used beef but ground turkey or chicken would work as well

hard boiled eggs -- or deviled eggs (mix the yolk with a little mayo and mustard and salt and pepper)

home made meatballs..again, i used beef, but you could use chicken or turkey...i made mine italian style but with asian flavors would be good as well

I had my surgery in November 2014, and I started eating pork and beef last month. I just started with very very tiny pieces to see if my stomach would handle it. What I cannot do is Turkey. I can do turkey burger, just not plain turkey. Makes me fall asleep for 2 hours with only eating 1 ounce.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
