My story 1yr and 3 months later

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery Nov 2013. I weighed 353 pounds. I had no idea how big I really was. I was in denial. I finally made the choice to be a better me. I have lost over a 100lbs. It's has taken me blood sweat and tears. I would do it over again. I still have 47 more pounds till my goal weight.

Congratulations - that is great - I had my lap-band on May 30, 2014 - 9 months ago - I did very well at first and lost 65 lbs - I started at 267 - Then we moved into an assisted living situation where we have three meals a day - I am no longer "captain of my own ship" and try as I may - I have started to gain a little. We are changing our living conditions and again moving back into our own apartment and I will be doing all our cooking again - I can't wait - I am just hoping that I can get back into the motivated groove again - I so want to lose the rest of the weight!! Did you hit bad spots like this?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
