At what age would you have Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) if you had a do-over?

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm only 23 and I had the vsg a week ago. I've had weight issues my whole life and I've been considering wls since I was 16 or so. I'm glad I did it now, rather than later, because I want the chance to fix my problems now and live a long, healthy, and most importantly - happy life. The sleeve gave me a future to look forward to.

I wish I would have done it at age 32.

i would've done it in my late 20's - and if my daughter wants to have it done i will move heaven and earth to help her have it done. i have never felt so good and i want her to be healthy too. we are already eating better and exercising so i am hoping with those changes in our life going on now she wont need it - but if she does - i will be there for her.

I really like when I got it done... 20 years old.

If I could have gotten it done earlier... it would have been before I left for college, so i could enter into college the confident sexy, sassy person I feel like inside. But... I'm not upset because 20 is still quite young and I will enjoy my 20s for sure!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
