I've developed red spots on my arms and thighs and the doc said to first try and stop bariatric Vitamins if that doesn't work then try the omeprozole.

Well, I would think if it were the bariatric Vitamins, you'd run into the same issue with just about any Multivitamin, since they have pretty much the same things in them, just in different quantities. I wish you the best of luck in figuring out what the issue is!

My doctor said that if the bariatric Vitamins make you sick, take 1 Flintstone twice a day or try Centrum twice a day. My surgery was 12/3 so I am at the point that I will just get ones I can swallow (not chewable). I also take a B12, a Calcium citrate (twice a day), and Omega 3. Hope that helps ya!

Why would I be unable to take bariatric Vitamins?

On the advise of my nutritionist, I ordered a particular brand of chewable bariatric fomulated Vitamins. They make me feel pretty queasy right after chewing one up. It only lasts for 5-10 minutes or so, and then goes away... but I almost wonder if I'm absorbing too much, too quickly. I tried to hang on, and took them for nearly a week... but I just couldn't hack it.

To answer the OP's question... I take a small handful of stuff: a costco (Kirkland Signature) multivitamin, Vitamin D3, a B-12 Complex, and a few times a week I add a Vitamin C liquid-cap.

I'm starting to add-in 2x a day Perfect food Super Green Caplets (a plant-based whole food type supplement). The suggested daily is 5x a day... but I'm starting small. My grandfather took something like this daily, and he made it to 91. :)

Hope that helps. I know I should also be taking a Kill Oil supplement, but haven't gotten back to that yet.

I switched to organic liquid in the B12 and Vit D3, I use magnesium topical oil I started out with the Gummy multi I got at natural living then I quit that all together. I do take the tiny Biotin, folic acid . the things like counting calories, certain weight goal numbers not briatric Protein nor Vitamins he doesnt say anything about. its what I already used or use that I have stuck with. had complete BW last wk all came back wonderful. I have a swallowing issue and the fillers that are in OTC vitamins I didnt care to use. the liquid has done wonders an made a differance for me.

My dr also suggested flintstones with Iron chewables, Vitamin B12 sublingual, Calcium with D, and Vitamin C with iron. I have to do chewables for 6 weeks and can then switch to regular but they feel the vitamin b12 is better absorbed sublingually so will stay on the liquid of that one.

I take the B12 nasal spray once a week. The insurance pays for most of it.

Then:

Gummy Vitamins

Iron

B1complex

Calcium with D3

Vitamin c 1000mg

Biotin 7500mg

That's the regimen the dietician gave me at the hospital.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
