Today marks my 23rd day post op. All has been well so far, trying to take as much fluids and nutrients as I can.

Question, the are under my biggest incision, to the left of my torso, hurts sometimes. Its mild and I feel it mostly when I lie on my left side or sneeze. Is this normal?

I'm getting paranoid thinking they might have forgot something there. Lol.

Hi...

Most likely is scar tissue. I do not have any big incisions, mine are very small. I have always made sure it was clean and rinsed well.

If the pain was more on the right side, I would worry about Gallbladder. But left side, most likely just scar tissue and healing process.

I totally agree it is more than likely nothing serious, but its always a good thing to give your surgeon a call if you are ever in doubt.

I'm 23 days out as well and my left side definitely is definitely more tender than my right. This morning I was doing a light workout including some ab twists. My right side, no issue. Left side, a bit sore. I'm also more comfortable lying on my right side than left.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
