When does the nauseousness stop?

Recommended Posts

I am a week and a half out of surgery (had revision surgery on 1/29/2015) and the nauseousness in overwhelming. The Protein shakes that were palatable pre-surgery make me nauseous just to look at them. I am fine to get in all the liquid I need, but the Protein Shakes are just too much. This didn't start until a few days ago and today I have declared a Protein shake free day in order to give myself a day to readjust. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to overcome this?

Jennifer

I didn't have any nausea but I did get sick of all the sweet Protein Shakes. I switched to Isopure unflavored which can be added to anything hot or cold. I mostly add it to my coffee, tea or Soup.< /p>

I absolutely could not do the Protein Drinks after surgery either. GENEPRO (you can buy on amazon) has been a lifesaver. Truly tasteless and it dissolves in hot tea well. It is expensive - but worth every penny to me. Good luck - I hope the nausea gets better soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
