When does the nauseousness stop?

I am a week and a half out of surgery (had revision surgery on 1/29/2015) and the nauseousness in overwhelming. The Protein shakes that were palatable pre-surgery make me nauseous just to look at them. I am fine to get in all the liquid I need, but the Protein Shakes are just too much. This didn't start until a few days ago and today I have declared a Protein shake free day in order to give myself a day to readjust. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to overcome this?

I didn't have any nausea but I did get sick of all the sweet protein shakes. I switched to Isopure unflavored which can be added to anything hot or cold. I mostly add it to my coffee, tea or soup.

I absolutely could not do the protein drinks after surgery either. Genepro (you can buy on amazon) has been a lifesaver. Truly tasteless and it dissolves in hot tea well. It is expensive - but worth every penny to me. Good luck - I hope the nausea gets better soon.
