Usually the pain is still from the gas that they injected into your abdomen cavity in order to do the surgery. Just walk it off. The more you walk, the better. If it continues more than 7 days, I would contact the surgeon.

I had some pain there and in my shoulder. Gas X strips and walking were the best thing for me. The more I walked, the less I had discomfort.

How bad wAs the pain after surgery

Amy, They kept my pain meds on a regular schedule while in the hospital so I didn't have any then. Once released (2 days post op), I had a little pain but I think it was gas pains. The more I walked, the better it got. My incision areas were sore but not painful.

My back bothered me more post-op than my front! And now I'm almost 2 weeks out and still have some soreness. Some of the pain is definitely from the gas, but some of it is from how they position you on the operating table, how you "favor" your incisions and stress different muscles, etc. I can feel the trigger points in my back that need to be released and have been working on them, but so far, no good. But much better now than last week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
