I watch the show on TLC, My 600lb life: Where are they now?. Just like the first time when I saw Penny's story, It made me mad.How dare you waste the doctor and weight lost clinic's time. I had my surgery in 2011 and have been on a slow weight lost. I make no excuses. I would lose more weight faster if I move more. I know this so I move as much as I can and I am careful. I don't let the fact that I had some illness set me back. As I watch this week I am so angry and sad for Penny. Since I recorded it I will use it to make sure I stay losing it.

When you chose to do this weight lose surgery you really need to find out why you eat so much. Seeing a therapist before and after is very important. Penny need to do this because the doctor does not have to tell us that she is full of it, it is very clear. Later going walking.

I watched that too. She makes me so angry. She was given this gift of another chance and she is just taking it for granted. And her husband just makes matters worse!

I watch too. It was sickening for me to see all those coupon 'savings' made while buying boxes of cake mixes, processed junk, and NOTHING useful for bariatric patients.

I really get the impression that she simply was NOT ready for the surgery and just knew what to say to pass through the qualifying process. it is NOT a magic pill, and requires a LOT of work, and the bigger you are, the more work it requires.

How sad that this was the outcome.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
