1 month post op with pic (46.6 lbs)

Recommended Posts

I'm so close to 50 lbs I can taste it! My highest weight was 259.6. I was 246.6 when I started the pre-op diet. I was 229.5 on the day of surgery (12/18/14). 213 today when this pic was taken. 16.5 down in 4 weeks since surgery. Total of 46.6 down. I'm 40 years old and 5'3".

U look great. How much downtime is needed in order to return to work. I am scheduling my revision to the sleeve in Aug/Sept 2015

@@savoy7658 Revisions may take longer, but I took off 18 days (over the holidays). But, I've seen some people return to work after 1 week. When I went back to work I was really tired at the end of the day for the first week, but by the 2nd week back I was totally back to normal. I'd say to be safe, take 2 weeks if you can.

I did liquids for 1 week. Then at 8 days I was released to mushy and soft chewed very well. Including eggs! I still can only eat 1/2 a scrambled egg. At 4 weeks now I can eat most soft foods. Nothing too dry, and no steak or raw veggies yet obviously.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
