So on Monday, I meet with a Doctor to see if I qualify for Bariatric surgery, I'm so nervous, my BMI is between 38 and 39, besides high triglycerides, Pre hyper tension and pre diabetes, the only "major" comorbidity I have is PCOS, I've read a few of you ladies have been approved with Pcos alone, I just hope it's that easy for me too!

I just started the process last month. I don't have any commorbidities, like diabetes or high blood pressure. I got approved..my BMI is at 47..I'm 5 feet tall and 245 lbs..I had no problem getting approved and am almost done all of my clearance appointments! Looking at surgery being done in March!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. I have PCOS but they didn't even factor that in and I was still approved, so hopefully you can too. =D

What it is now the 48, I just got approved two weeks ago haha, and I don't have surgery until next month. I do have chronic back pain that has been ongoing for years, and that pain was noted as well as my asthma, in my letter to the insurance.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
