It is, unfortunately, a sign of dehydration. Drink more water. My surgeon told me that urine color is a good way to judge your hydration levels. Lighter is, obviously, better.

im 12 days post op an mine has done the same thing. i didnt notice until after my pre-op appt.. I hope its not dehydration

Yup! Dehydration. I had this same problem during pregnancy and was told to drink gatorade as well as water. (I had a hard time drinking water at the time).

I am 10 days post-op and noticed a change in the color of my urine. It's almost as dark as tea....only way I can describe. It doesn't appear that there is blood in my urine, it's just really dark. I only drink water and low calorie jucies as directed. Any idea, could it just be my body is adjusting or reacting to the changes? Maybe I'm not drinking enough water?
