You will do beautifully! How exciting for you! See you on the side. Tomorrow you'll be able to say, "I'm with the band". Woo hoo! Make sure you have lots of pillows in your bed to prop you up and support you. :) Keep us posted! You will be great!

I am scared , nervous and excited as well. My surgery is January 19, can't wait !!!

Hi there, I so remember all of these feelings. To tell the truth, the excitement part is actually still there even 14 months later. I was a bit nervous -- at age 52 I had never been an overnight patient in a hospital. It was all so much easier than I thought it would be. And best decision for my health and happiness.

1) walk

2) drink

3) sleep

4) WALK!

Good luck !!!

I am due for surgery tomorrow too. It's like a kid waiting for Santa to come! Good luck. See you on the other side:)

We've been there, so we totally get it. Easier said than done, but don't be nervous -- be excited because you're about to change your life! It'll be over with before you know it & you'll be opening your eyes & getting up to walk. Stay hydrated, keep walking, and move as much as you can. I walked around my house several times a day & on day 2, I went up and down my steps. It was the best thing I did & it helps with recovery. I also found that Gas-X strips were very helpful to me after my surgery. I honestly didn't have any terrible shoulder or site pain -- I truly believe it's because I kept moving. Best of luck to you & keep us posted!
