  1. Great job, what diet are you following. I am having a hard time getting in routine, for example if I am not hungry I don't eat that day but I drink. He next day I maybe hungry so I eat but don't follow a diet. I have not had a soda since my surgery Jan 2015 but my weight loss is slow I think only lost about 40 pounds. Now I don't workout but I try to walk when I can.
  2. I am 6 months post op and I have lost almost 40 pounds and I feel great. I can not wait to lose more.
  3. Yes, we will!! I glad that I am not the only one who's weight is moving off at a slow pace! I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong!
  4. Me too I have not lost 50 to 60 pounds yet and I'm 8 weeks post op. I've only lost 25 pounds.! Am I doing something wrong!
  5. I am doing well, 25 pounds gone!! I feel better and I have not had a full yet but I'm losing 1 to 2 pounds a week! I am so glad I got the lapband!
  6. I went in today for my first fill! I have lost a fair amount of weight. The doctor said if I am having good results with no fluid in the band then it's working!! I was shocked that just having the band with no fluid would help me lose weight. So I go back in four weeks to weigh and see if I need a fill at that time.
  7. Hi I had my lapband placed on 1/7/15 and I feel great!
  8. Congrats! I felt the same way 3 weeks ago! Everything will be ok, follow doctor orders and drink fluids.
  9. I started full liquids on day 2, I was able to try pudding and apple juice and later that evening I had about 4 table spoons for cream of mushroom soup. Each day I have slowly added a different soup for dinner and protein shake for breakfast, pudding or jello for lunch. I feel great and no issues so far. Call you dietitian and see what you can add. I met with my weight loss team today and I have lost 20 pounds since my surgery. I called my dietitian on the 3rd day for advise on what to add in the full liquid range. Good luck!
  10. Thanks my doctor told me to advance to full liquids and puddings. I tolerated everything very well but I just don't want to move too fast and get sick. So I will talk to my doctor this week. Thanks for the support.
  11. Great, I feel good too! I have not weigh myself yet but I feel some loss. I did not have the gas. I have been able to advance my diet to mash potatoes. I did great, but I got worried that I am moving to fast so I stop and went back to full liquids. Good luck, keep posting.
  12. Feeling better today my friends. No issues so far. I was banded yesterday 07Jan15.

  15. My doctor advised me to do the Atkins diet pre surgery and the day before surgery liquids only. I noticed most people did liquid diet 2 weeks prior to surgery date. I have 6 days before my surgery, should I switch over and do only liquids until my surgery?
