  1. Same here I lost 155 pounds and now, I pick here and there. After being so good for over two years I’m gaining little by little. Any help????
  2. Congrats, you are in the right direction and it will come off. I had my LB surgery on 1/14/15 and since that time I am down 145lbs and 18 inches off my waist. They (5) medications I was taking for HBP & Cholesterol and a water pill are all gone. All I take daily is a vitamin. It will work for you as well. Enjoy the Journey! [emoji41]
  3. Surgery date 1/14/2015 down 109 lbs so far. 33 more to go!
  4. Congrats you will do fine!
  5. Hi Kevin, Congrats on taking the first step to a better life. You are making the right choice. As per your questions. A typical 100 lb Weightloss is not that hard to achieve with the lap band procedure. How do I know well this Wednesday is my 1 year bandaversary and in the course of this one year I am down 109 lbs and I went from a 58 waist to a 38. Regarding protein shakes. I still have anywhere from 1 to 2 shakes a day. Sometimes in place of a breakfast or as a snack at night. Best of luck and enjoy your journey to a better life.
  6. Havent been on this board for a while, so Hello to All! I was banded back in early January of this year and have accomplished amazing results with the band and with my health. I have lost almost 20 inches on my waist, off 4 of my 5 daily medications and over 120 pounds to date. I have followed my 1200 calorie a day plan to a tee. But all of a sudden, right after the change in season and temperatures. I have been going off my plan and craving Snacks and junk like chips and stuff. "HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE"
  7. Was banded on Jan 14, 2015 down 108 lbs with another 42 to go!
  8. This past week marked my six month anniversary of my LapBand surgery and really could not be any happier. After year after year of watching my weight go up and up and my waist getting bigger and bigger. That is all ancient history. After these past six months I watched my waist go from a size 58-60 to a 42. So far in these six months I have lost 97 pounds. I am putting this out there so all you newbies not to feel discouraged at first. As long as you follow your dr.s orders keep your caloric intake at 1200 calories and some exercise you will see amazing results as well. Enjoy your journey and expect great results on the way!
  9. This weeks marks five months since my lap-band surgery. After so many attempts to lose weight. So many yo-yo diets this has finally paid off into a road to better health and a longer life. In exactly, five months I have lost a total of 88 pounds and 12 inches on my waist. At first, I was truly skeptical on this working and being able to consume only 1200 calories a day and be full and stay healthy. All I can say is this had met all my expectations and it has worked above and beyond. I have about another 50 pounds to go and as many of the older posts that I have read. The remaining pounds are always the hardest. I say bring it on!!!! Wish me luck!!!!
  10. The bloating and the pain will subside, day by day. Just keep walking as much as you can to break up the gas and all will be well sooner than you think.
  11. Try Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers. For being a frozen dinner it is very satisfying and they are all under 300 calories which is perfect for dinner. Check it out!
  12. I didn't start to de-fat my liver till 10 days prior. 30 days is way too soon.
  13. I cannot tell you to go for it, that is a decision that has to be made within and with your doctor. For one, you have to see if your a candidate and two, it's a life changing experience. For me, it was the best move I could have ever made. I am half way through with my Weightloss and off all my pressure, cholesterol and Water pill meds. It was the best move I could have ever made.
  14. Well if you did your homework going into the lapband surgery, that's the first thing they tell you. It's not a magic do-all. It's a tool, just like any other tool. You couldn't drive a nail through wood without a hammer or tighten a nut without a wrench. The same is with our Weightloss. If we could have done it just by dieting we would have never had the surgery. But after all the failures of fad diets, liquid diets and packaged foods. It was time to make a change and that change for me was with my lapband. I got banded Jan 14 of this year a month after you and I must say its working fine. I'm down 61 pounds lost 10 inches on my waist and only eat 1100-1200 calories per day and no more. You can make this happen, be aware of what your eating and how much and remember your band is just a "tool" and nothing more. You can make this happen!!!
  15. It's been two and a half months post op and I've been feeling a lot hungry now than I have a few weeks ago. Since my surgery, I am down 56 pounds with another 54 to go to my goal. All of a sudden, I'm feeling hungry and thinking of food all the time. I eat no more the 1100-1200 calories a day and walk everyday about a mile and a half. I am due for my 3rd fill later this week I just hope this helps because I'm getting scared and don't want to gain this back.
  16. I'm 2 1/2 months post op and down 59 pounds that I will never see again. I was banded vs the sleeve. I have to say it was a much better choice for me. I have another 60 pounds to go to hit my comfort level and I know "I" will do it. I now have the will, the desire and the tools to make it happen. I eat differently now and eat different things that I never have eaten in my life. Everyday I am learning something new and all I can say is that it works and it will work for you!
  17. Congrats Nick, everyday is a better day and will take you closer to your goal. I am 2 months post op and down 56 pounds. Keep it up
  18. So here is is exactly 2 months PostOp. The good thing....I'm down 55 pounds since the beginning of the year. Now the great thing, I went to see my Doctor who advised me to stop my two pressure medicines and one Water pill. This is beyond amazing. After so many years of taking so many different meds to control my pressure, I am med- free. Two Months..... Two Fills..... No More Meds..... And down 10 inches on my waist. This is what AMAZING feels like!!!!!
  19. Congrats....Your on the way!
  20. Congrats, it's a great feeling!!!!
  21. It's been six weeks since my lap band surgery and I have to tell you so far I am extremely happy of how it is helping me lose my weight. I underlined that because I see alot of people who are somewhat disheartened with their outcome so far. The band will not work miracles for you. Its a 50/50 plan that you have to work with as well. You can do it and you can make this happen for you. So far in the past 6 weeks I am proud to say that 51 pounds are gone that I will never see back again. Sayonara, Good Riddence and dont let the door hit you in the #$%. Best of Luck to all
  22. . You can do it, all you have to do is just 2 days and your back. Piece of cake!!!!!
