It's a family affair

My 2 daughters and I are scheduled for lap band surgery 2/12/15 (my poor husband LOL :-). I am excited, anxious, happy, nervous- you name it, I've probably felt it. I am thrilled that my daughters will have the opportunity to get control of their weight earlier in life than I did, and will not have to go through the aches and pains and health issues that come with being overweight all your life.

With all that being said, we still could use all the support we can get. If anyone is interested in joining us for our journey, we would love the company :-)!! Larger support systems just make it that much easier.

Here's to a healthier, successful 2015 and beyond!

@ Band Aid Mom and daysfan012, are you both having your surgery at the True Results results San Antonio facility? I am scheduled to have mine there on February 26.

I had to delay my surgery but I'm having surgery at true reults turning point surgery center and going through true results Austin. I hope everything goes well for you!

Thanks daysfan012. I had such a rough day yesterday I wasn't sure if I could go through with this, the hunger pains and constant headache were getting to be too much. Have to admit I did wake up feeling better today and even more so when I weighed myself......lost 8 lbs. in five days! That just made everything worth it. Hope you are doing well and don't have to delay your surgery too long.

Wishing all 3 of you much success!

Great to have others to go thru it with!

Keep us posted on your progress!

@@Band Aid mom how are you all doing? So excited for you. It is clear from your posts that you are so ready for this......exciting times.

Hi bandaid mom I'm getting ready for Lapband. Because of body not being to exercise I have to go on 1200 calorie diet for 2 weeks and go from there. I'm 62 and sometimes I think I'm 2 old but I weigh 225 and 5.1 so I think my quality of life should get better. Prednisone helped me get here so I'll keep you posted when I get approved for surgery. Best of luck to you and your 2 daughters.

Wooohooo all done and went extremely well! Day 1 was the worst and not as bad as anticipated. All 3 of us had our last dose of pain meds less than 2r hrs after surgery. Even soreness is pretty much gone this am. We have been moving alot though so we dont get stiff. All in all not anywhere near as bad as i thought it would be!
