I actually called Dr. Marsden's office and they said that he didn't accept Mexico patients. Who did you talk to?

That is not the doc. I see. My doc. is Dr. Stephanie Eijsink in Tyler Texas. 903-520-8847.

Yes I know I am referring to a previous post about Dr. Marsden where it was stated that he took Mexican banded patients. I called and the nurse told me that they did not accept them.... Not Dr. Stephanie. Have heard some things about her that I am not comfortable with using her.

I use Dr. Stephanie too. Wondering if you would share what it is you dont like?? privately of course, not on the public boards.

I saw a post about a place in garland that does fills and wondering about changing to them, or should I stay with what is safe? My only concern with Dr. Stephanie is how small her fills are and my lack of restriction. Iv had two fills of 1.8 cc. She doesnt try to find a in between number, if 3 is too much she goes down to 1.8 cc. While eventually we will get there, meanwhile, Im not getting to hardly a tad restriction. I had nothing after the first fill and twice she assured me I would feel it. I didnt.

Hi guys, I got my band in 2004 at the Richardson Surgery Center done by Dr. Jayaseelan. I didn't have much success with his aftercare because it is hard to get an appointment in with him. So, I started going to see Dr. Maese and at the time my insurance was covering my fills. Now, I have different insurance and they won't cover anything related to the surgery so I will have to pay for fills out of my pocket. I contacted the Richardson Surgery Center today and they said that it would be $100 for a fill. That's the cheapest I have found. My band has been unfilled since 2007 and I haven't had much success losing weight on my own as I have tried to. So, this week I am giving the lap band another shot and will be going to the Surgery Center.

I called them too, they wouldnt fill my band I got in Mexico. Just count yourself lucky that you found someone for $100 that will fill you. I think I have called everyone within 100 miles of my house. Dr. Maese wouldnt give me my first fill for 90 days after I got my band, but he would be ok to transfer to now, but I like Dr. Stephanie.

Good luck, I hope a new fill is going to do the trick for you.

AIGB in Hurst - Located at the Specialty Surgery Center of Ft Worth told me on Friday that they would do a fill for $125 cash price. Luckily, the problem with my insurance contact/after care was worked out and my fills are covered again.

I would like to request again, that when you ask for prices, you ask what the price is for those who were banded in Mexico.

I have called pretty much every one of the phone numbers suggested here, and not one would do a fill for me under $200, none. Im guessing this is the price if you were banded by a doctor within their circle or whatever, its not a price the rest of us could get.

Well pardon me, but I was only posting some information that I found out by doing some calling around for my own personal situation over the weekend and that was prior to my coming here and even knowing about this board or your personal situation. I did not have my band done in Mexico so therefore there was no need for me to ask if they would work with someone who had had their band done in Mexico.

And to clarify, the price was not just for people who used "a doctor within their circle or whatever" because I did not use a doctor that was in "their circle or whatever".

Your smiley when it gets translatted to email says you are "glaring". OK, let me say this another way, when I call, they say as a favor to other U.S. doctors, such and such fill doctor will do fills for other U.S. doctors, because they are U.S. doctors. The U.S. doctors stick together.

My mistake, I see this isnt the thread I started on trying to find a fill doctor in the Dallas area for $200 or less, there apparantly are none that will fill you if you were banded in Mexico. I too go to Tyler to see Dr. Stephanie. (and I live in Dallas).

The U.S. doctors do say they stick together and are trying to exclude anyone who was banded in Mexico, its a fact. It makes a difference where your surgery was performed.

I was just saying I think it would save some people some calling around if when someone posts a price, they say where they were banded, if they dont know who the price applies to. Thanks for your input.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
