I love tuna salad made with plain Greek yogurt instead of mayo. It adds Protein and still moistens the tuna. I add finely chopped onion, celery and sweet relish. To me it's "normal" food so it was welcome after so much soft foods. I eat this twice a week now, and I'm 3 months post op. Chili is also soft and high in protein. Wendy's Restaurant has a small chili so it's a great go to fast meal. I'm also into ground turkey made with taco flavoring. Baked potato also works but I added Protein Powder to get my 80 grams met. Isopro unflavored is a good one along with plain, nf Greek yogurt. Salsa is a great addition to the potato as well. Just experiment. I learned from this forum so I'm sure you'll get great ideas. Good luck!

I boil and mash sweet potato, cut a butternut or acorn squash in half, lay face down on a baking sheet and bake until soft. Scoop out the squash and that's it. So good.

If you have a sweet tooth I really like taking 1% cottage cheese with 0% fat Fage Greek Yogurt and adding sugar free cheesecake powder about a teaspoon at a time. Play with the proportions to your own personal taste. It's tart yet sweet. You can even add pumpkin purée. It is packed with Protein. And will keep in the frig for a few days. I just portion it out.

Egg Beaters were my go to. I love eggs and still make them quite frequently. Had I known at the time I would have made Protein pancakes. I use unflavored Unsure protein powder. You can find a variety of recipes online. I still love this meal!

avocados, eggs in every form. My grocery sells an instant oatmeal that also contains quinoa and other ancient grains, has a good bit of Protein in it. (I think Special K makes one in pre-serve cups). Cottage cheese with fruit spread. pureed Soups (but this is tricky b/c creamy Soups are fatty soups. I thought I might die after a few bites of Panera's baked potato soup!) Refried Beans mixed with salsa.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
