Hey Sleevers,

My surgery is set for this Monday December 29th at 9:30am but i'm having some issues with getting the amount of Protein in that i'm suppose to. They want us to get 60-80 but I just can't see how that is going to be possible being on a clear liquid diet after the surgery. I can hardly get the required amount now and I haven't even had the surgery yet. Help please!!! Any advice would be appreciated!

Doesn't the bariatric drink have lots of Protein? I put a banana in my drink which I'm sure probable has protein. I'm also allowed raw veggies and fruit in between. In my drink I think there are 27 grams of protein, 2 drinks a day puts you to 54. I just started my drink today and already hungry. Urrrrrrr

I purchase Isopure as it seems to offer the most Protein with little or no carb, depending on the flavor you purchase. So far, the Vitamin Shoppe has offered it at the best price. I signed up as a member (free) and purchased in bulk during a sale which included free shipping. To add protein, I mix it with Mootopia Milk (@ HEB) or CarbMaster Milk (@ Kroger). Hope this helps.

Add unflavored Protein Powder or chicken flavored Protein powder to your drinks and broth and have that 3 times per day. Each serving is 20 grams of protein plus whatever you're adding it to.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
