Eating pizza after VSG

Recommended Posts

Honestly for me, I was 3 mths out. Had a slice. 3 bites was all I could handle. 2 months later I tried again...road trip...teenagers. It took me six hours to make it to the crust. I gave up. pizza kicked my ass.

Had pizza for the first time 6 weeks post surgery and unfortunately loved it. It tasted great, everything has, which means I have to be careful not to fall into old bad habits and start overeating. I just keep telling myself small amounts only.

Here in NJ the pizza places have gray appetizers and sides. Went family orders I get broccoli rabe and sausage and love that. I tell everyone I'm watching carbs. If I need a taste I cut a sliver but the app I get is super satisfying

I just eat the toppings as well and only 1 slice. the crust goes in the trash and its usually the works so its veggies and meats. I only eat 2 bites anyway so the calories are not that high for me a day.. I need to actually get more in as Im at 500 a day usually

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
