I was bloated/swollen for about 2 weeks. I actually gained 6 lbs from the morning of surgery to two days later and three inches on my stomach. It was all gone at the end of two weeks with a few extra pounds.

Yeah I'm still swollen also. I haven't weighed myself yet lol. Don't want to get upset if its not a smaller number so I keep myself off the scale. But I will probably weigh once a week

I had surgery on the 16th, I walked out if hospital on the evening of the 17th like I was 6 months pregnant! Today, it's better but still swollen and gassy. Any idea how long that takes to go away!?

I'm on Panamax Elixir double strength for pain during the day, Pain Stop at night and am still on Mobic in the mornings. I am walking around the house, but am a bit tighter as Dr repaired a hiatus hernia as well (I had no idea I had it).

I had a hernia repair at the same time also. Was up and walking the evening after surgery and out and about some the next few days. Always ensuring to nap, relax and no lifting

It'll go down. I think it's basically an effect of the surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
