Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Hello there Band fans....I got banded March 28th-2007.

I told myself....Bycyling would be a very good choice. Fresh air, muscles working for the sake of "Cardio". After one week passed--in April. I purchased three new bikes for me and my two sons. I have defeated many things doing that. No more not riding with my children--we ride as a crew (family). We could not conquer the hill on my street. We used to stop 3 to 4 times before getting to the top ( I did). So now the wheels have turned. My kids ask me---"Daddy can we stop--our legs are burning". Thank God I am doing well now. Now with 21 pounds gone---but just riding bikes. I am ready for the next Journey...The 1st fill--I am looking forward to the next 4 to 6 weeks--maybe 12 or 20 pounds gone...who knows...:faint: this is how I feel on many days after my ride. Today--(8.5 miles) It was walking, riding around the fair in my town--but that is what my speedometer said when it was all over...

They are very yummy. I have tried the orange, strawberry, and black cherry. All of them were very yummy. I also like regular Clif bars too. A little harder to eat but delicious all the same.

  • orange is my fav. I've had punch too, not so good.

  • Okay, so you two concur on the orange, strawberry and black cherry. Cherry is my favorite flavor, so I will get more of that. Thanks, chicas! (I gave y'all "reputation" for this info! I still can't be

Hi Chris...WOW...cant believe it is time for the airport to open. Seems like yesterday when you first started talking about it and now it is here.

I chose to drive this time on my travels, but my husband flew out 2 weeks ago and he said it is really going to be nice...GOOD WORK.

I had been posting on here, but everyone has disappeared and so I chose to not post anymore until someone else did..Did not want to monopolize the thread you know:)

I am actually planning a ride tomorrow afternoon. Hope it warms up some or at least is not including wind...HA

Well...Good Luck Tuesday hope it goes off without a glitch as I am sure it will....

Take care

Traci

Hi all! Thanks, Traci, for your note, gave me the energy to MAKE time to sign on!

Working hard just to keep my head above water this fall. Haven't been on the bike in about 2 weeks. Arrggghhh! I have been walking, about 4-5 miles 5 times per week. Helps with stress management, but it's not biking. :(

I usually am the one reminding people not to wish their life away...but...I can hardly wait till May when I can finish with this double duty of work and school! Yippee!!

Keep on ridin' Mary K.

I know life does get in the way allot, and I find myself checking online but not posting allot anymore. It is cold here and I am still riding...crazyyyyyyy....but I am sure my nose will be completly cleaned out when I am done...HA-HA....

Well, I am glad to see you counting the days until May....It isnt exactly wishing your life away, just getting ready for the next phase...:(

Have a great Sunday...

wow....did I say how I so much enjoyed freezin my Butt off???

Lol...it was 37 cloudy and winds were around 10-15....a little cold, but it felt good to be back in Indiana and riding again.

Hope everyone has a great week I am off till Wednsday~!!

Wow Juli! That is cool. I wish we had paved trails like that!

Do you post in that forum?

nice to see you strangers on here.....and that is a awesome trail(street)

I have been reading allot of cities are gearing towards making the towns more biker friendly. Evansville, which is a pretty large city is adding bike lanes from the West to East side. I am excited and hope to ride down there sometime when I visit my mother.

Rainnnnnnn here this weekend....so I am working on Sat and hoping to ride on sunday...

Have a great weekend everyone....

Carol,

I don't post in that forum. But I'm a member of Consider Biking. The group is pretty amazing

Stacy,

Yeah it is sweet baby and you know it rolls by The Ohio State University.

Traci,

You're a rock star riding in November. Go on with your bad self.

You were bitten by the cycling bug harder than I ever was. Keep us posted.

yes, Julie, I do seem to have this itch that just wont go away when it comes to riding. I love to keep pushing new things and am excited to be doing some new things during the winter to get me ready for my 2009 goals.

If it would JUST QUIT RAINING...LOL

hey chris

how did the opening go for you last week>

It sure has gotten a little colder now that the nasty rain stopped. we are seeing snowflakes today too....:)

Got a nice 25.6 mile ride in on Sunday. Temps reached 42 and it would of been even better if we would not of had all the wind.

Hope everyone is having a great week
