Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Hello there Band fans....I got banded March 28th-2007.

I told myself....Bycyling would be a very good choice. Fresh air, muscles working for the sake of "Cardio". After one week passed--in April. I purchased three new bikes for me and my two sons. I have defeated many things doing that. No more not riding with my children--we ride as a crew (family). We could not conquer the hill on my street. We used to stop 3 to 4 times before getting to the top ( I did). So now the wheels have turned. My kids ask me---"Daddy can we stop--our legs are burning". Thank God I am doing well now. Now with 21 pounds gone---but just riding bikes. I am ready for the next Journey...The 1st fill--I am looking forward to the next 4 to 6 weeks--maybe 12 or 20 pounds gone...who knows...:faint: this is how I feel on many days after my ride. Today--(8.5 miles) It was walking, riding around the fair in my town--but that is what my speedometer said when it was all over...

They are very yummy. I have tried the orange, strawberry, and black cherry. All of them were very yummy. I also like regular Clif bars too. A little harder to eat but delicious all the same.

  • orange is my fav. I've had punch too, not so good.

  • Okay, so you two concur on the orange, strawberry and black cherry. Cherry is my favorite flavor, so I will get more of that. Thanks, chicas! (I gave y'all "reputation" for this info! I still can't be

oh btw....if you get the vanilla edge ready to drink watch out because to me it seemed very creamy like it had tiny tiny little lumps in it as it went down (gosh that didnt sound right)

2.4miles!!!!!!!!

Holy cow!!!! thats awesome!! youll be ready for a Triathlon in no time :tt2:

I ran 2.4 miles today. Nonstop. I am wondering about myself. Since school started on Monday, I have not had a bike ride. I rode my bike to school on Mon and Wed, but no formal ride. The wind has been blowing here like crazy in the evening. Hopefully we can get out tonight and ride, this ten miles a day crap is not going to be working for me.

D, I'm afraid of you! That's amazing on the run.

I know the lack of exercise is annoying with school. I hit the gym for only about 30 minutes a day. I just am struggling to find the time. I look up and the clock says time to do something else, like pick up the kid or make dinner. Damn details of the life getting in the way!

You're a runner.

Hey everyone, D is a runner!!!!

D - Awesome!!! I can't believe how quickly you have progressed. You R a runner!! :thumbup::clap::cursing::sneaky::clap:

I have been riding at 6 am, but there isn't alot of time to ride a long distance. So, I've been trying to improve my average speed. It just doesn't seem like exercise if I'm not wheezing at the end! LOL.

I have also become a friend of the stairs at my building. The School of Nursing is housed on the main floor. So I hike up to the 4th floor (all the higher it goes) across the building, and then back down the staircase at the other end. How often you ask? Well, #1) everytime I get a really annoying e-mail, #2) when I get a notification of yet another meeting, #3) when I look at my watch and see that I have lost a considerable amount of time in work without a break, and #4) when I have the urge to eat and it isn't time for a snack or meal. Doing that route a couple times makes me want water, not food!

Hoping for a fine weekend, with a long ride each day. Take care all. KY

just needed to post here as this forum has moved really far down on the popular list this weekend with all of us being gone and out there riding...LOL

Actually, I havent been on my bike since last Wednesday..

The hurricane sure looks bad down in the gulf area.....I hope everyone stays safe there....

Hoping everyone has a good day!!

My camping weekend was fun. Best Labor day weekend weather I can remember ever!!!! Sunny and 85 every day!

School starts tomorrow. My little baby is going to be in Kindergarten. I am going to be an emotional mess!

I started school last week, and I am really wondering what the heck I am doing!!!!!

Be strong tommorow BG...this will be something really special for her....

Glad you had fun BG

Take lots of pics tomorrow! Be strong until you get back to your car, then you can let loose!

Jared is so ready for school. He's a big boy and he wants to learn. He's got his smart big sister he's following too.

BTW, BG, since you are not at work, taking little dude to school I'm a post here, I sent Zoe to school today dressed ala Stacy. I wish I'd taken a picture.

I bought her knee socks this weekend that she is in love with. Last night when we picked out clothes for today, she picked shorts and a tank. This morning she was dressed and I thought, shorty socks and tie shoes, but no, she insisted on the knee socks and crocks to go with the tank and shorts but it was cold so out came a hoodie. Oh, and the hair which is long and no bangs now, had the front pulled back in a barrette. Really. My kid looked cute but way to grown up. I was freaked a little...each piece was okay alone, but pulled together it was an "outfit". The last person I've seen dressed like that was you. Yeah, my kid dresses like a 28 year old. We'll her shorts and tank aren't as tight as yours and they are pink. And the shirt had "Marie" from the Aristocats on it.

Lord help me.

They grow up fast.

J you had better get a picture of her later lol. I love it. Korrine is not too fond of the knee socks but she does love her crocs. Uon the nfort for her they are not dress code. Not that it would ahve mattered since I dressed them both in matching outfits. Yep, I am that Mom. I will have to get my pictures on the computer in a few for y'all to see. They were so cute. I still have not cried yet, and niether did Jared. He was so brave. =)

OMG, they are so cute!

The glasses are adorable. They both look like their faces are going to split they are smiling so hard!!!

I'll take her picture tonight, but she'll look a sloppy mess.

Maybe again tomorrow morning. I feel I'll be buying a million knee socks. She loved to take my socks when she was little and wear them like thigh highs or my short socks and wear them like knee socks. I knew they'd be a winner. She's a dress wearer, I thought she'd be able to wear the dresses longer if she had the socks...

BTW, I've issued a "MINUS 20" challege at work to my co workers. To see if we could encourage each other to drop 20 between now and the New Year.

That's something isn't it? Perhaps just more talk...
