Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Hello there Band fans....I got banded March 28th-2007.

I told myself....Bycyling would be a very good choice. Fresh air, muscles working for the sake of "Cardio". After one week passed--in April. I purchased three new bikes for me and my two sons. I have defeated many things doing that. No more not riding with my children--we ride as a crew (family). We could not conquer the hill on my street. We used to stop 3 to 4 times before getting to the top ( I did). So now the wheels have turned. My kids ask me---"Daddy can we stop--our legs are burning". Thank God I am doing well now. Now with 21 pounds gone---but just riding bikes. I am ready for the next Journey...The 1st fill--I am looking forward to the next 4 to 6 weeks--maybe 12 or 20 pounds gone...who knows...:faint: this is how I feel on many days after my ride. Today--(8.5 miles) It was walking, riding around the fair in my town--but that is what my speedometer said when it was all over...

They are very yummy. I have tried the orange, strawberry, and black cherry. All of them were very yummy. I also like regular Clif bars too. A little harder to eat but delicious all the same.

  • orange is my fav. I've had punch too, not so good.

  • Okay, so you two concur on the orange, strawberry and black cherry. Cherry is my favorite flavor, so I will get more of that. Thanks, chicas! (I gave y'all "reputation" for this info! I still can't be

OMG C - I heard about that on the radio today!!!

Stef (of TX, Whatev...) - Thanks for liking my eyes. They are my fave part of me. Lol. Like I said - thats the only part of me thats not fat! Hahaa

C! That is CRAZY! What a whacked out world we live in, huh? And "ewww" for the poor soul who got the video! But I know it was necessary.

LOL...sick huh? The neighbor got the 'act' on tape. This guy is married with children for God's sakes! I mean really...nude, doing the hole in the table for the umbrella! C'mon!

Too bad he didn't cut his dick off on a jagged edge or get an infection or something. Lol. Oh well... I just feel sorry for his table...

Welcome to Ohio and the pervs who will screw a table...sick, sick, sick.

ZZ, you've got those killers eyes, and cheekbones! Blah, blah, blah insert cute fat girl comments you've heard a million times here, but you're quickly becoming hottie girl with out mention of fat...You'll be kissing the boys and makin' em cry just as soon as you please.

Being the lemming that I am, I've put my pics on here too. BG, I put the one of us at the pool on there, hope you don't mind, if so, holler and I'll take it off.

XO.

J - OMG! That's GREAT! And you got her bod before I did! I swear if I swung that way, I would SO do her! LOL

I wish I could could cut and paste a body like that! Oh, wait I will with plastic surgery...

Okay, I'll be cutting away the skin so you can see the buff muscles I've been working on!

You know, I swing that way and I actually find her a little intimidating, frankly. I mean she looks like a game of slap and tickle with her would really, really hurt.

Cut and paste...yes, you will...but you are hot already! You've come so far. I love your pics...especially with the new haircut! You are very photogenic, lucky girl. The one of you and BG is my fave!

Hmmm...I don't think she's intimidating at all!!! It might not be too bad to hurt like that! LOL That kind of slap and tickle is okay by me!!!

I'm just saying...

(Yes, I have SO made your little saying my bitch! I hope you don't mind!)

J, You need a little more bronzer on your face....

Maybe I should just go tanning...

Hehehe,

TX, thanks for the sweet words.

Big sexy finally gets a real ride!!!!!

Got my first 10 miler in!!!!!!!!!!!! Fricken finally, eh? I learned a couple important lessons.

1. Always wear your cycling shorts. Even if it is a short ride. Especailly when you have not riden the bike more than 3 miles at a time.

2. It is much easier to unclip and turn around on the small path than to try to not unclip and turn around on the grass. You might get stuck in wet grass and unclipping while panicing is much more difficult than a planned unclip.

3. If it is sunny and 45 the windchill at a constant 13 mph makes it a tad chilly. Don't forget your gloves.

4. If you go out with a headache chances are it will not get any better. But at least you are enjoying yourself.

So the new bike is going to take a bit of getting used to. I love it but it is so much different than the mountain bike. I am locking my elbows again which is not a good thing. I need to get used to the more aggressive hunched over position as opposed to being more upright. I also have to learn to be less of a candy ass. The park I ride at has a lot of very short, steep hills with blind turns at the bottom. I finally got to the point that I would go all out on the mountain bike....yeah not so much now. I am just so freaked I am going to skid trying to turn on those small tires. But I am sure it will get better. I got up to about 21mph on the bottom of one of the hills which was not too bad.

All in all I am so psyched that I got out there.

Way to go BG! It is definitely a different ride, but you'll get used to it in no time! Dont' let the skinny tires fool ya...they're quite capable of making sharp turns! (Think Tour de France!)
