What should I take to the hospital?

Recommended Posts

Any suggestions on what worked and what wasn't worth it to drag there?

chapstick and a charger for your phone. Make sure you wear loose, comfortable clothes to the hospital so you can wear them home. Everything else the hospital can provide.

I packed all kinds of stuff and really all I needed was chapstick and clothes to wear home. It was easier to stay in the hospital gown as I had to pee every hour! I didn't even look at my phone hardly because the anti-nausea patch made my eye site blurry.

I agree with the above posters. Chapstick.

Also I was so thankful to have my tennis shoes with me. As I was walking around the halls, I was taking the iv stand with me and kept kicking it. Hurt my toes. So I put on my shoes and problem solved.

Or just have someone with you to keep the iv stand out of your way. Haha.

Chapstick, a robe, my toothbrush...mouth was super gross...and very comfy clothes to go home! Good luck!

I brought an extension cord so my phone and kindle charger could be plugged in at the same time and reach the wall outlet

I brought lots of things. The only things I used were:

Extension cord

Phone charger

Heating pad

Phone

Toothbrush & toothpaste

Biotine mouthwash

Hairbrush (I have extremely long hair)

Clean underwear

And Chapstick

that is it. I wore the same clothes home that I came to the hospital in. I stayed in the hospital gown and the hospital slipper socks. Pack light because you honestly won't need much.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
