Name something strange and super unhealthy that you used to eat before weight loss

Recommended Posts

When I was a (fat) kid I used to take my mashed potatoes and kernel corn from my dinner plate and put them between a slice of white bread. Gross!

What strange and super unhealthy concoction did you eat before weight loss?

it would be easier to name things that I did not eat. I love cheeze whiz and bacon bits on ritz crackers.

My grandmother introduced me to Peanut Butter and Karo Syrup.< /p>

I knew that low-fat Peanut Butter wasn't for me the first time I tasted it. Sure enough it has added corn syrup.

Since childhood I've had a love affair with Condiments. ketchup, honey mustard, ranch dressing mixed with hot sauce, soy sauce, Polynesian sauce, and especially barbecue sauce. I can and have eaten BBQ on anything and everything. Giving up my barbecue sauce has been so hard! I can't find any without any high fructose corn Syrup which is a big no-no for my doc. -_- But I'm still alive! :D

It never ceases to amaze me how I can taste the sugar that is laden into foods (UNNECESSARILY) now that I eat clean. It really makes me mad trying to find dried fruit that has no added sugar for cripes sake!!! I don't eat peanuts because I follow Paleo but the kind that you can grind yourself in the store rocks because you can taste the peanuts rather than the sugar -- it simply is not necessary.

Frozen Bagels. Don't ask me why by, nibbling on them in front of the TV was a favorite past time. But actually, I ate quite a few unfrozen ones with margarine, too, Not a strange unhealthy habit, but I'm sure that 25% of my excess weight is bagel!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
