  11. I first joined back in October of 2014...pre-sleeve and nervous with so many questions. I found this site to be very helpful from both veterans and newbies and I'm thankful for that. Much like offline life people are gonna be nice and others are just gonna be snarky and rude....and while I may be a New Yorker with thick skin it even irritated me a little...just a little So I stopped posting and our group made a Facebook page for those sleeved in January of 2016. It's super helpful and we're even planning a little gathering for our 1 year anniversary. It will never get rid of assholes cuz seriously they're everywhere but I think there's less snark when full names, location and family photos are attached to a profile P.S. I haven't posted on here in months...and even when I did it was rare. But somehow I knew exactly who you were talking about lol Chill Hun...don't let them get to you. Snarky trolls have nothing better to do so they sit online all day and post, post, post to get a response from you. My group actually did the same thing with the Facebook page and you're right it's much much better.......actually my post above was based on my observations on other people's posts......no one had gotten snaky on one of my posts...(until this one) haha......In other words no one has hurt my feelings....after all this is the Internet and I don't even know any of these people............I just feel bad when I see poor new people asking questions and then people responding with snarky replies.......this site was very helpful to me with I first started and I just want it to continue to be helpful to new folks. I certainly understand what several folks said, that it's just the nature of an Internet forum.....I've been on several and you do see the same type of behavior on all of them..(which is really weird to me...why does that happen?)......I also understand the right thing to do is soak in what you want and filter out the rest...........as hard as it may be for some folks to believe.....I really didn't just fall off a turnip truck...hahaha I have been around the block a time or two! So bottom line, I found the "rant" section.....had a "rant" on mind.....posted it............and it's gone from me being the sarcastic and rude one to .....sex and snicker bars...LOL...who would have ever thunk it??? It's all good! Like I said in one of my earlier replies, I knew this post would prompt a banter when I posted it...but for me, one day of banter is enough......I can't stay focused on one thing that long. Sounds good to me???? Enjoy your Saturday and keep kicking ass.

  15. I only told my boss at work because she had to fix the schedule for me. Personally I told mom, sister, 3 friends..all of whom were supportive I did not tell my best friend...because I am afraid of what she would say. She is hypertensive and also obese but doesn't have insurance and she's been having a rough financial life. I just don't wanna give her more good news from me when she's always having a hard time. When work people ask what I've done I just say low carbs and liquid diet. It's not a lie and it usually turns them off from wanting to know more.
  16. Yes it was my first and I was crazy nervous. I was also in a lot of pain afterwards but taken well care of
  17. Ugh! I LOVE Popeyes chicken Thanks for the tip. I just started pureed and went to Popeyes for Mashed potatoes...took me an hour to get them down but totally worth it.
  18. Does she want to f*ck ur man? Sounds a little weird to me. Like shes tryna build his confidence but crush yours. Watch out for her.
  19. Yes. We have an awesome Facebook support group for January folks. I was sleeved 1/11...started puréed foods the other day and I feel great.
  20. Sorry for the late reply. Where are you in the process?
  21. Fingers crossed for you!
  22. Congratulations!!! I was just approved too. Surgery date 1/11 in Brooklyn at New York Methodist hospital.
  23. I've waited over a year to be able to write one of these posts. So without further adieu, I am happy to announce that I have been approved for the VSG. I am so happy that I can't even focus at work!!! Cheers to 2016 and a new healthy lifestyle. Thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. Thanks to insurance for approving me and my surgeon for having faith that I will do well. Eeeeeek! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  24. I considered the balloon at one point and backed out because research was lacking. Plus I could use 8lbs in 2 months by myself. Why did you remove yours?
  25. Most reality television show is exploitive...but yes, I will also be setting my DVR. Doesn't mean I can't learn from it.
