Two-week post-op hunger pains?

Recommended Posts

HI there. I was sleeved Nov. 10 and for the first week was happily not hungry but today I am noticing definite hunger pains. I am still on full liquids but have already consumed 90 g of Protein, 48 oz of Water and more than 700 calories. I'm afraid that the great results won't last if I'm going to feel like this all the time. Has anyone else experienced it? Any advice on how to fight them off? Sipping water like crazy!

Thanks!

Hey there! November 10th for me as well! The best thing I have found for hunger in the full liquid stage is hot Cereal, like cream of wheat. That seems to fill me up and last longer than a Protein shake. If you have already tried that, I don't know what to tell you except to hang in there! pureed (almost real) food is just around the corner!

Thank you! I will try Cream of Wheat! That's a great idea. I'm so surprised the Protein shakes don't satisfy me for longer. I knew I would have to deal with "head hunger" but this feels just like the old me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
