I walked my 3 1/2 miles today in the Blazing heat again. I am not walking outside tomorrow though. I am off to the gym. Has to be cooler than outside, although a bit smelly. LOL

lynnette and danny- congrats on the 20 lb lose you two. You are doing awsome!!!

Chim- 11 lbs in a week!!! You go girl.

marcy- when would you find time for a part time job. LOL You are so busy as it is. Does sound like good money though.

dini- so glad that you are guaranteed to get your tattoo. It would suck coming all that way to be told 'first come first serve'

cazulay- don't be so hard on yourself girl. You will get to a medium. Heck you may even go to a small.

I spoke to my BF tonight and she has agreed to babysit my daughter over part of my trip to Palm Springs and then my brother has agreed to let his daughter stay at our house to babysit her for the rest of the week.

Our trip is from Oct 6-11, which is Saturday to Thurs. Oct. 6-8 is our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, which my BF is going to cover. Then my niece can take over from Monday night to Thursday night.

Yippie!!!! I just have to confirm with my niece that she will do it, which I know she will.

Once that's done, I'm going to have to surprise my DH with the news. I was thinking of getting a printout of the hotel, and creating a gift certificate sort of thing, then putting it into a card to say I love him.

Any other suggestions? This will be our first trip away since our son was born in 1998.

Chimboree: 4 hours in a car anytime is enough to wipe me out, let alone being day 8 post-op! Take a break! BTW, were you happy with the reduction? Did it hurt more or less than the band?

I was SUPER happy w/it! I woke up in recovery smiling. I would do that again in a heartbeat. It hurt MUCH more than the band. I was out for 6 weeks. Just b/c you cannot, cannot, cannot lift anything. My doc did Lipo under my armpits. To be honest, that hurt worse than my incisions.

Of course, you know me, I had surgery on a Monday and I was driving on Thursday. Bad move. I was okay until I had to turn into Wal-mart. That hurt like the dickens! I just can't sit still and recover like most normal people! LOL!

Chimboree: I think you and I are very alike, can't sit still!!!! Have to keep busy, and keep pushing ourselves regardless of advice. I have to admit, when I hit the energy wall on Tuesday while organizing my friends retirement party, it kind of scared me. I've never done that before. I've always had energy reserves. But do you think I'll learn from that experience... no way! LOL.

Thanks for the info on the reduction surgery. Who knows, maybe one day!

Just popping on to see what's up. Wow, everyone is doing so well. I stepped on the scales this am and I am down 2 lbs from day before yesterday. I haven't lost a pound in so many years, it ain't even funny. I was a giddy as a teen. Come to think of it, that hasn't happened since a teen.

Hey, did I see something about a Lucky 7 cruise?

Hi Only4me!

We were banded on the same day by Dr. Geiss and we're both having the same Fluid intake issues. I only had about 1 glass of juice mixed with Water today in addition to 2.5 carnation instant Breakfast shakes and 1 cup of Soup. I feel like my pouch can't hold any more. I'm going to try to focus on the Protein too.

I was wondering if you were on the same floor with me. There were about 4 or 5 lapband patients where I was. Let me know how you're doing.

I went up the scale this morning, and found that I have lost 6 kgs. that's about 13 lbs. I don't know if this is enough I was band at the 21st.

If any one would like me to give them out the reciepe of the Soups I am making just tell me, yesterday I had a half cup of squash Soup. otherwise I am taking juice with skimed milk and most more that 2 liters of water....

Hi all. I went to the doc today and he removed the dressing. Ugly red scars. What can I put on them to make them look better?

Anyway, I have lost 8 lbs and I can move to soft/mushy food. I have 1/2 cup refried Beans for lunch. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I am a little sore from all my running around.

Lynette, glad to see you got computer working. When you get your yahoo messager working, IM at sunshine6855@yahoo.com if you want to chat.

Jeanie, so you are enjoying the bike ride. I wish I had a man to ride with. It would be fun. I love to ride.

Phyl, how's it going? I see you have another trip planned. I can't wait for the pics. I am moving to mushies too. This will be fun.[/quote]

I jumped the gun a little!!

We went to a Mexican restaurant tonight and I just quiety explained to the waitress that I'd had surgery and couldn't eat much so could I order off the chidren's menu. She said I could so I ordered a kids beef enchilada meal. It worked great. The beef was finely ground hambuger; I scraped the meat mixture out of the tortilla, which I then moved to another plate to avoid temptation. Then I mixed the meat with the refried beans and enchilada sauce, poured a little salsa on top and mixed it all up. I start mushies tomorrow, so I made it as runny as I could. Then I noticed that the now empty salsa bowl looked to be about 1/2 cup so I filled it up with my concotion and got a to go box for the rest... which turned out to be exactly another 1/2 cup! Two meals for $4.25 ..... and it was most enjoyable!!

:hungry:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
