Incision scars for September sleevers

Recommended Posts

Hey I was wondering how everyone is doing related to their scars healing? I was sleeved 9/7/14 and I really don't have anyone to compare with to see how well they're fading/healing.

I'm not sure why my pictures upload upside down... But here is a before (a few days after surgery) and today.

Holy crap. Why so bruised. i had 12 holes when all was said and done and did not bruise like that in the incision areas. WOW!

Caster oil girl. Hit them with it every day and the scars will soften. It is the only thing that penetrates scar tissue! :)

I was sleeved Sept. 26th. Mine look similar. I had bruising too.... not a big deal.

Your scars look far better than mine. Mine are still very red and very noticable. I think I'll take up the advise on the castor oil. Maye it'll help. (sleeved on 9/15)

I used mederma on my scars after my lap band, really really helped, plus time is also a key consideration in attaching a picture from about 2 months postop from my band. By 1 year out I couldn't hardly see them at all, but then I had to get a modification to the sleeve so I have all new incisions to scar over now.

I was sleeved on 9/23 and just said today I felt like you could barely see them they healed very well. Did they use glue or stitch your incisions? My surgeon used the glue and I think it was great.

I heard mederma works very well. I haven't put anything on mine. They no longer hurt but are very red.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
