I am doing great. Surgery went well, Recovery has been fairly easy. Haven't had pain meds in a week. Been walking everyday. I'm amazed how little I can eat now. Even on liquids, I get full so fast. It's crazy. I'm down 10 pounds since surgery. I'm looking forward to getting off straight liquids! I've struggled with Protein Drinks since surgery. They are just all too sweet. But, I found GENEPRO Protein and it has saved me! All in all, no regrets. So happy I did this and can't wait to see more results.

I was sleeved on the 22nd. I'm only now feeling more human and actually showered! Lots of nausea and hunger!!! I wasn't really prepared for how hungry I would be. I am so glad to hear people doing well with no problems but I am struggling some. How are people getting their Protein (since I know this is what will help the hunger) without Protein Shakes. My surgeon doesn't want us using them. Thanks and congrats to all who are doing well.

I was sleeved on the 23rd. My surgeon is like yours and doesn't like protein shakes. They know this early in the game, we aren't going to get all of our protein in. Mine does expect me to work up to it tho. They also are more worried about the Water intake more than the food right now. Working on getting in 64oz of water is more important to them. So.... For foods, I am still in my puree stage and eat greek yogurt, cottage cheese, salmon, chicken. I have ventured out to eat a slice of mozzarella cheese (8g of protein/slice) which took a while to really chew up good. I'm only now able to get in more since I am a little more healed, but it's not near my goal yet. I am almost up to 64oz of water. Take it slow and build up to your goal each day. We'll get there soon. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
