Cleaning out my Cupboards

Recommended Posts

So this is a little about me......I am a 50 year old female who is 5'8" and currently weighing in at 296. I have had issues with my weight as long as I can remember. My surgery will be Tuesday October 14th. The call came today that everything has been finalized. When starting this process I wasn't sure that I would go through with it. Meeting with the doctor and educating myself on the procedure has helped me make my decision. Along with reading encouraging and succsess related posts from the weight loss community.

In preperation I have been cleaning and organizing. Did a deep dive into the pantry and got rid of everything on the "no" list. Cleaned the fridge and freezer as well and feel like I am set up for success. Fortunately for me my husband will adapt to my new and healthier lifestyle. He has done it about 20 times in the last 20 years so it is not something new for him. The success that I anticipate will be a new experience however.

My prep diet has been going well. Breakfast and lunch are Protein Shakes with dinner being a healthy meal of lowfat Protein and veggies. Monday will be my day for only Clear Liquids.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
