Saturday for lunch I had two slices of a cucumber off of a salad and that night I started having major stomach cramps at the top of my stomach. It feels like my stomach tightens and relaxes. I woke up with a sour stomach at about midnight and hadn't eaten in hours. I vomited every couple hrs all night. Sunday morning I had diarrhea. Well today is Tuesday and I'm still having the same stomach pain with the diarrhea. What's going on ?? I'm afraid I'm going to dehydrate.

Cuc's are a gassy food and if they are not peeled then your tummy may be having trouble breaking it down. It may have just been too much for your tiny tummy to handle. The first time I tried a scrambled egg after surgery, I was sick ALLLLL day. I would call your doctor if you are still having this much trouble and especially if you are fearful of becoming dehydrated.

Take care of yourself!

How far out from surgery are you? It could have nothing to do with the cucumber you ate, but I know cucumbers can cause digestive distress in some people. My mom hasn't had WLS, but she can't eat cucumbers with seeds at all. She had to get the seedless kind.

Drink lots of fluids and contact your surgeon. If your hydration situation gets dire, go to urgent care or the hospital for IV fluids.

I am just over 12 weeks out and I haven't attempted to add any kind of vegetables to my diet. In general if it's not Protein or fat and extremely low carb then I don't eat it.

I did accidentally have a little lettuce in a bite of a taco and my stomach rebelled but not enough to vomit.

I haven't tried any vegetables but I had Soup with spinach in it and I vomited all evening. I'm guessing it's just too hard to digest right now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
