They said 1-2 nights for me. And i have to do a 7 day liquid diet

I've started my preop diet today. I'm starting a week early, but I think that's for the best. This way I have some wiggle room.

I have 16 more days til my VSG in Mexico with Dr. Elias Ortiz. I am beyond excited! I took some time today to really dig deep and think of some non-scale victories. I think they are so beneficial because for my this journey is more than the number on the scale. Its about how I want to feel and the woman I want to be again. Im 31 yrs old and I feel as though I have lost years of my life yoyo dieting. I think a list of NSV's if not only motivating while losing but especially when maintaining so I can remind myself why i dont wanna go backwards. I had a coworker tell me that I dont need to have the surgery and I was highly offended. She is much smaller than me and has never battled with her weight. She does not know my stryggle and will never understand. Anywho... such is life... I'm sharing mine and I would love to read yours.

What a great idea. I get so caught up in the planning, prepping, classes I forget to dig deep and think about what I will be able to accomplish with the weight gone, beyond the obvious of course . Number one for me tho is being able to play longer, harder, goofier with my grand daughter whom I adore.

Surgery on December 29th. So excited!

Just saw this TEDx lecture on how to psych yourself into successful habits by keeping your eye on the prize. If you watch it, I'd love to hear your ideas for how to apply these techniques post-surgery. http://www.ted.com/talks/emily_balcetis_why_some_people_find_exercise_harder_than_others

Got my sleeve date today, Dec 18th. Very Excited!

Me too! Just found out this morning

Well getting sleep in December isn't going to happen. During the removal of my lap band yesterday, I had a minor stress induced heart attack. Now I have to deal with rehab and a new diet to get my heart strong again, before they will even consider surgery.

Last Thanksgiving as an overweight person. My surgery is Dec8th. 10 days away and it feels so unbelievable that this is for real is going to happen. Started my pre op high protein, no sugar, very very low carb diet on Monday. It was really hard the first two days but yesterday seemed much easier. Probably had to do with getting the sugar cravings out of my system:)
