My Natalie & I was sleeved on July 22, 2014. My highest weight was 323 & I have lost about 40lbs so far & feeling much better already. I have been stuggling to lose weight for all of my adult life. After I had my second child I just could not loose the weight & been trying every since. It is so surreal for me to finally have success at a healthy lifestyle. I don't want to mess it up.

Hi and welcome. I was sleeved on July 18th, so we are close in surgery dates. Congrats on the decision to have the surgery. I'm still in the learning process.

welcome welcome welcome to Sleeveland :)

can never have too many newbies with lovely smiles :)

is Natalie your daughter????

happy to hear your weight loss has already effected you in a positive way!!!

you said ....."Don't want to mess it up"!!!

continue to follow all the rules that you have been learning to a "T"

easier said than done???

well, i know you want to be successful - and following all the rules is the only way to go

i've always thought the many different Water rules are the most important

ie drinking at least 64 oz a day

stop drinking about 25 minutes before you eat

never never never ever drink with your meals :o (people have been shot for less :D )

don't ever, ever drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat

your NUT will give you instructions on times, and other questions about food you have

come back to this board, read other peoples questions and answers

any of their" burning" ;) questions could apply to you also

you can always go to the SEARCH area and look for some info on............

keep up the good work

continue following all the rules :)

40 lbs down :o :)

kathy

congrats

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
