Can't concentrate on how much weight in losing because first I had a problem having a BM now I have urinary retention.. They say it's common but damn... any oddities that can happen I seem to be the victim of... Sorry not tryna be a Debbie downer it's just frustrating...

...

Mskiesha29. I had to go to hydration therapy twice. And I am going through the same as you with bm. Got through that and and my bladder holding on to the liquid. Doctor says because I am not drinking enough. Had my 3 wk post op today and I have a bad bladder infection. Hang in there. We just have to get more fluids in. Both of us. GOOD LUCK!!

I had better luck with Miralax than Benefiber. Doc says Benefiber can bulk you up. However, it took 3-4 days for miralax to work. Now I'm right as rain, going poo poo in the potty daily.

Had sleeve August 25. Down 9 lbs since day of surgery and 29 pounds since started Preop diet. I'm seeing the inches come off. Bad about exercising. I'm on my feet all day as a teacher and do quite a bit of walking across campus but want to start using that expensive treadmill I bought 2 years ago. Still on purees. Not exactly sure when I feel full. Brain isn't telling me to stop and don't want to eat to the point of pain. Head hunger has been a huge challenge. I am finding sugar free Popsicles help.

Try milk of magnesia. A dose in the am and a dose in the pm. A couple days of that ( or less) and you'll get bm. It is what they use in nursing homes to get the elderly going.

Gm sleevers. Happy Friday. Is anyone taking the Bariatrics fusion Vitamin. I take it four times per day. To me it's like eating chalk. Yuck...

Hi, yes that's what my surgeon recommends. Dose of 4 instead of 3, too. I take two in the a.m. and two in the p.m.

I have the orange cream - not bad. I'm sure I'll tire of them, but I think of it as medicine. :-)

I tried fish again my stomach just isn't ready for it. I was able to eat crumbled sausage and Tomato sauce no problem. It's amazing how some foods are no problem and others reek havoc. I started to add Fiber in my yogurt and the BM issues have improved. I've lost 5 more pounds. Feeling pretty good.

My surgeon won't let me go to full exercising until he sees me again in 1 month... So I'm thinking in total they may want us to wait at least 6 weeks to heal.. Don't quote me..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
