Aunt Flo?

Recommended Posts

So, I was sleeved on August 15th and she popped in town that Monday before my surgery so the 11th. I typically and right about every 30 days but the last 3 days I have had signs of her visiting when I wipe, but nothing on a pad, and it's earlier than should be. Anyone else experience a change in cycle and flow?

From what I've read, changes in schedule, spotting in between, etc., are pretty common as your body adjusts to major surgery. I've had mine once since surgery, on time, but man was it brutal. 10 days long, more cramps than ever and super heavy. I hope that's all it takes to regulate itself because I don't want to put up with that!

Yes, I had my cycle right before surgery, then 2 weeks after surgery again, and ever since, it has not been right. My last cycle lasted about 10 days, ugh... Hopefully it goes back to normal? But I ,too have read this can happen after surgery.

Hai ladies!

First off, something fantastic and not so great about those pleasantly plump fat cells in our body - they store our excess hormones, lots of them. One of the main ones being Estrogen. As you burn fat after WLS a couple of things happen. All of those stored hormones are released and confuse the body, cysts that you once had inside you start to shrink and release small amounts of blood, and the last factor would be the blood thinner you were given / anesthesia. Your body wants to purge those drugs however it can because they are essentially poisons. Keep drinking that Water and see a gyno if things don't straighten up in the next cycle.

I have been visited by my aunt for almost 2 strait months after surgery. My OBJYN has been called, he gave me estrogen to take. I am going to call and make an appointment. This is just ridiculous.

I had mine during sleeve surgery and then came like normal the following month, but this month was different. It came earlier and has definitely been more intense, lasting longer and more cramps. I also hope this doesn't last long and regulates. Ugh!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
