Hi I go under the knife on September 8 and have the jitters! Does anyone know how soon you can drive after surgery?

Surgeon will let you know...if it's laparoscopic it won't be long after surgery. Also, no driving while on pain meds were my post op orders. I wasn't in a lot of pain do I was driving soon after I got home.

Ten days? Wow. My daughter will be with me for a week...I have surgery on Sept. 9th, but I live alone and hope I can drive sooner than that.

Good luck to everyone! I am 5 weeks post-op so I remember well what you are going through. I know now that there is no way I would have ever lost this weight without the surgery. It is definitely a commitment - but worth it to finally be on a path of solid weight loss. Enjoy the journey.

my doc said as long as u r not taking pain meds cuz the meds do make u feel like u r hallucinating ( well-that's how I felt). After 4 days I didn't need it. Check with ur doc.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
