Is this normal? I had my sleeve done 8/26 including a hiatal hernia fix. Was in the hospital for four days. I walked as much as I could to the point the nurses were telling me not to overdo it. Which I'm now afraid I might have done.

Has anyone experienced a burning pain on one of their incisions? (And of course it's the main one.). Thank you!

I was sleeved on 8/28 and I'm also experiencing severe burning pain at the main incision spot. It's so bad I can't stand up straight. My meds will be gone on Monday and I very nervous about not having anything but Tylenol. Is there anything that you are doing to make it better?

Call your doctor, especially if it looks inflamed. The biggest incision takes the longest to heal. Please do not do any lifting beyond your doctor's recommendations. Let someone else do the laundry lifting, and you can do the folding. Make adjustments like that where you have to. You deserve to take it easy until you feel up to it. The soreness, itching, and burning take a while to resolve. But call your doctor. He/she may want to see you at the office.

I also had burning when I tried to straighten up, I was told my the nurse at the doctors office that it was normal and to continue to walk and it's gets better. I had my surgery 8/25, and although it's a little better I still cannot stand completely straight up.

I'm wondering if bending over might have been the cause. I was feeling pretty good this afternoon and picked up a few things off the floor (my children of course lol). Since then, it's like I've pulled something behind the big incision and the burning kicked in.

I try to hold it with my hand whenever I'm moving. That tends to help. I'm also putting a heating pad on it for the swelling. Not sure if it worked, just trying all sorts of things to see what works.

I experienced a burning sensation at the main incision site after my gallbladder surgery it was horrible and went away fairly quick (maybe a week). However I didn't have it following VGS.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
