I Am new to this forum. I had gastric sleeve surgery on February 25th of this year. I feel that I have been successful so far. To date, I have lost 85!lbs and have 45 more to reach my goal. In addition to my new nutritional plan, I exercise on the elliptical for an hour 5-7 days a week. I have read a lot of the posts on here and find it so interesting to read about all of your journeys. Having this procedure saved my life, literally. There are weeks were I "stall" too, but then I start losing again. I am looking forward to read more on your journeys.

First off I have two labs a black and a yellow. They are by far my favorite breed. You will do good. It's a very exciting journey, although I had a slow start in the beginning. After I had my surgery, I figured it was time to catch up on some of my other routine health exams. I went to the dermatologist where they found skin cancer above my heart where they had to do a pretty extensive surgery to cut it out. I was unable to exercise during this time, and then the incision got an infection. So for the first two months I really couldn't exercise. The PA seemed concerned that I couldn't at least get 30 mins in a day, but I had to take care of this issue. But once I was healed from that, I got into the gym and tore it up. In 6 months I've lost 87 lbs and I'm only 43 more lbs to my goal. I would love to follow you on your journey. Don't be scared. Get excited. You can do this!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
