Had surgery today and had a question

I can't sleep on my back, I wanted to know if it's ok to sleep on my right side? I forgot to ask the nurses today

Congrats on your banding. I was told I could sleep however I was comfortable. For me that was on my right side. My port is on the left. I was back to sleeping on my stomach in a few days. It was a little sore but I sleep better that way. Many folks sleep in a recliner the first week. I wasn't that sore I guess. Good luck!

I used pillows wedged under me to sleep on my side and relieve some of the pressure points.

I used a husband pillow to help prop me up so that I could sleep comfortably. I usually sleep half on my side and half on my stomach ... but I was too tender to do that for the first few days post-op. But yeah ... sleep however you can. :)

Oh, and Congrats!

Thank you all ! I'm just so nervous about moving the wrong way or doing the Wrong thing. I was able to sleep semi side and back with the help of a pillow.

I sleep on my side. But the first few days after surgery I was uncomfortable trying to sleep. My hubby bought me a wedge shaped pillow at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It kept me propped up a little and I slept better at night.

I was a stomach sleeper apparently , because I was told that , so you can imagine when they told me not to sleep on my stomach till I was comfortable , so I used a LOT of pillows even on my adjustable bed , now I start on my left side , & Then when I am asleep I guess I either get comfortable on my stomach or right side , at least that's what I am told I know I start out on my left.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
