I lost 10lbs the first week home from surgery. I had surgery on Oct. 6th. I haven't lost an ounce since. Is anyone else in the same boat? Am I doing something wrong? I realize I didn't pack on the pounds over night but I'm starting to get frustrated.

My week post op surgeon visit, I didn't lose a pound, I was frustrated, how could that be, a week on just liquids and didn't lose a pound! But my surgeon said it's like any other diet and every body is different. I was still disappointed. I was sleeved Oct 1 and since that first week I'm lost 12 pounds, my pre op 10 day diet I lost 19 pds.

So, it's true, we all lose at different speeds and our bodies are adjusting to what we are doing.

Just remember to concentrate on the good things.

Update on day 4: I'm feeling pretty ok today. Almost back to normal. Pain is pretty much gone today. Nausea is completely gone. Drinking my clear fluids as directed, much easier than the first two days. Just really really tired. Can't stay awake.

Incisions are just itchy because of the dermabond. post-235501-14143601216001_thumb.jpg

Is there someone you trust enough to tell so that they can support you through this? My surgery in on Tuesday and the reality of it all just set in. I know this will not be easy to adjust to but it's what I need for me. I told my loved ones last night that I needed there support because the first few weeks might be difficult for me. Always remember that you have all of us on this forum for support as well. At least we will be able to relate to your experience with weight loss surgery. Please keep us updated on how your doing. ????????

I just let my family know I'm having surgery, and I feel much better. I will update here as well. Thank you for the kind words.

I'm getting sleeved tomorrow and am super nervous. My family is back east and I haven't told any of my friends out here so I'm going it alone. My doctor is wonderful, so I'm not too worried about the procedure itself, but would appreciate good vibes sent my way!

Prayers and positive thoughts for you! How are you getting home from hospital?

I'm using Uber. The hospital is very close to my house and they're keeping me overnight. I have a friend close by who can come check on me when she gets back to town on Tuesday. I'm in good hands. :-)

I just had my sleeve this morning. I'm lying in the hospital bed, feeling quite good actually. Minimal pain, some gas in my shoulder that subsided a bit when I took a walk. I hope I continue to feel ok. I had a short bout of nausea earlier but my doc is managing it well. The staff here is wonderful, and despite my pre surgery meltdown this morning, I'm glad I did this (so far. We'll talk again when they take away the morphine). ;-)

I was sleeved yesterday and came home today. Very rough night with morphine and vomiting, but am ok now except for all of the pressure. If they give you a morphine pump, take it easy!!!

Sounds like they should have kept you another night. Best wishes for a speed recovery!

Walk as much as you can. It will relieve the pressure quicker.

I was sleeved on the 28th. I have persistent nausea and intermittent vomiting. Making it very difficult to get even Water down. I'm taking Zofran 4mg every 6 hours. With very little relief. My doctor gave me scopolamine Patches also. Has anyone else experienced nausea like this?

@@sschoch30, I was sleeved the 29th, and I had the nausea for the first couple of days, then it has largely gone away. It was so bad, then I'd dry heave and that was miserable. I hope you're feeling better.

How's everyone getting their Vitamins in? I have yet to get them all in in a day. I tried mixing 2 of them crushed into yogurt yesterday, but I could only take like 3 bites then I was done. I'm getting my Water and Protein in, I just wondered if I should be concerned. I was sleeved on Wednesday.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
