Hi everyone. I had my lapband done last Friday the 22nd. I feel really good. Day by day. First day I was feeling really nauseated. But second day, up to today no more of that feeling. I have minimal pain. I'm only feeling a little burning when I get up on two of my cuts but I'm learning to get up a differently. I'm so glad that so far my post op has been pleasant. I put my Fitbit back on yesterday and want to start getting my steps in. Yesterday was only 1000 steps today I got in 4000 steps. Tomorrow a little more. I am feeling a little hungry at times but now that I'm able to drink my Protein Shake that's helping me feel full for a while. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on anything I should be doing? I can't wait to start back with exercising. I miss the sweating ????

Always follow your doctors orders!

You may become very hungry soon. Many of us felt like we were starving to death shortly after surgery. It's called Bandster Hell. It's the period of time between surgery and when you get that one fill that gives you a feeling of satiety for several hours. No one told me about this till a month after surgery. Let's X our fingers and hope you escape BH.

There's plenty of time to sweat. Don't rush the exercise, just follow Dr's orders as to how much and when to exercise. And welcome to the boards.

Hey thanks for the advice! I do feel hungry a lot. When I do get hungry growls I drink some Water or eat some Jello. That seems to hold me over. (For a few minutes, lol)

And yes I've been following his orders I go back this week for follow up. Hopefully he tells me everything is going just as it's supposed to.

So happy for you -- glad the surgery went well and you are walking a bit more each day. If any one had told me I'd be walking this much now and actually wanting to do it, looking forward to exercise, I would have laughed in their face. Now I am so happy with my body, myself. My only advice is to be patient and gentle with yourself. Start noticing how you're feeling when you have your Jello or your Water -- train the mind to be present and in the moment. And don't forget to pat yourself on the back. You've chosen yourself and your health -- a big decision like that is so empowering in itself. You will do beautifully.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
