Wellbutrin XR is an extended release type of tablet. It's meant to be digested over a longer period of time. So, it looks like you may need to contact your prescribing doctor and get Wellbutrin in a different formulation or change meds or something. Hope this helps. I'm on Wellbutrin XR as well and will have to talk to my doctor about this prior to surgery.

I take an anti-convulsant that is extended release and before the surgery it went all the way through, and I would see it on the other side...tmi.

They switched me to non xr formula. Did they mention changing it once surgery started and have you never seen it go all the way before or only fter surgery?

Hi,

I had to switch the formulation of the Wellbutrin to taking it a couple of times a day.

Contract your psychiatrist right away to get the new formulation and you will be fine with it.

I call the dr. He's switching me to a no. Extended formula and I'll take it 2x a day. He said I should crush it up and eat it with something to cover the taste...this could get very interesting

I take it whole and have no problem with it.

I wouldn't crush it will taste horrible.

Trust me their not that big of a pill to not take whole.

I was on that for a short time I guess 10 years ago and I had the same problem but this was prior to my surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
