Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate dosage question

Recommended Posts

Our dr's instructions were to take one in the afternoon and one in the evening at least two hours after taking our Multivitamin with Iron. I keep forgetting to take the afternoon one. Why can't we take the 1000mg at one time (two chews), anyone know?

If that is the one that comes in the large container , I take 3 every morning at once. I was never told to spread them out.

No, they are individually wrapped in a bag.

I'll ask our nutritionist next Monday at our meeting but I'm curious now.

I was told that the body can't absorb it all at once. So I have to take 3 throughout the day and I forget to take the evening dose as well

I'm good with the evening dose but too busy in the day to take the first one or don't have one on me. Annoying

I was told that our bodies aren't usually able to absorb all of that at once so we have to spread it out.

I set alarms on my phone to take them so I don't forget.

My doc never said to spread them out. I am curious about it though. I forget to take mine too. :(

My office said that our body absorbs only 500 at a time, so anything over that is not being stored, but wasted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
