For me I spent 3 days after surgery on liquids then moves to soft foods of Jello, yogurt, puréed Soups for 2 weeks. The last 4 weeks is stage 3 soft foods like cottage cheese, eggs, tuna, soft fish, really mushy veggies and fruits, mashed potato or sweet potato. On Monday 7 weeks out I can go to normal foods but red meat, raw veggies is 6 months out.

my post op was Clear Liquids for 3 days, full liquids for about 10 days then on to a puree/softs hybrid type thing. i was on to 'what i tolerate' at about 4.5 weeks and now almost 6 wks out the only things i won't eat are the soft breads (untoasted bread, tortillas, pizza crust, etc) and stringy meats (roast beef and stead). all other foods that i have tried so far i am tolerating just great.

Liquids in the hospital (two days), purees immediately upon going home (although they said I could stay on liquids for a day or two more if I wanted). Stayed on purees for a week and was on to soft solids for a month. After that I was cleared for a general diet.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
